3rd Party Warranties
We have been asked by our clients about offering “3rd party” warranties or “protection plans” for the equipment we sell. After doing the research, we have decided to continue with our policy of offering only manufacturers warranties to our clients. Common problems of the 3rd party programs were major delays in the repair process, inadequate repairs being made at unauthorized repair centers, and difficulty in making claims and getting reimbursed. Although this may not be a significant issue with TV’s or bicycles, we feel it provides a false sense of insurance that doesn’t hold up for the type of equipment we sell. Our client relationships are too important to us.
All warranties shown on DT items are actual manufacturer warranties, even on pre-owned and refurbished systems. If a product we acquire doesn’t have it, we purchase it from the manufacturer directly. This happens after inspection, and before we offer it for sale. It’s what we like to call “1st Party Insurance”. We also offer the DT Continuing Care program for all clients to help supplement the manufacturer’s warranty so you are always taken care of.
