Photographic Support Specialist
Job Description
As the Photographic Support Specialist for Digital Transitions, you will be responsible for offering professional one-on-one technical support to our clients. This position focuses on performing installation and training of Digital Transitions’ hardware and software system solutions and provides creative solutions based on the needs of the clients. The additional responsibilities also include, but are not limited to equipment testing, email and phone support, and technical sales support.
This is a public-facing position and we are looking for someone who is able to think critically, excellent bedside manner with a strong technical photographic background (digital camera backs, medium format cameras, technical cameras, etc.), is detail-oriented, and has great organizational/communication skills. We are looking for a team-oriented person who is willing to grow with the department and our company.

Responsibilities include:
- Provide telephone and email support for “walk-in” clients in the following areas:
- Capture One Technical Support
- Digital Back Technical Support
- Camera Support
- Lighting Support
- Develop and manage relationships with Digital Transitions Commercial and Cultural Heritage clients
- Travel primarily in North America, but some international travel might be required.
- Demonstrate Digital Transitions’ solutions with the sales team
- Participate in Trade Show and Exhibitions (as needed)
- Other Duties as Assigned
Knowledge & Proficiency Requirements
- Capture One Pro & CH Software
- Phase One XF, XT, and iX Systems
- Valid Driver’s License
- College Level Photographic skills or equivalent experience
- Digital Transitions 101 & 201 Courses
- Phase One Certified Professional
Other Knowledge Preferred but not Required
- Knowledge of Imaging Standards
- FADGI, METAMORPHOZE, ISO 19264
- Experience with Golden Thread Analysis Software
- Experience with BasicColor software
- Basic knowledge of Collections Management Systems
- Basic knowledge of Asset Management Systems
- Basic knowledge of Client Management Systems
- G-Suite and MS Office
- Cultural Heritage Collections Photography
- Basic Knowledge of Museum Library and Archives Collections Processing
- Analogue Photographic Processes
